One of the emerging technology trends that dovetails into Sensing City is called The Internet of Things. This essentially is when it’s no longer people creating data online, but devices. At Wired there’s a nice summary of why this trend is now emerging from a geek-early adopter phase, and on the verge of tipping into widespread usage.
